These are my fetus babies. I'm making them for my porcelain class out of a cone 10 epsom salt porcelain body. They are hollow and hand built. I'm going to make one for each stage of fetal development. Originally I was planning on making them really refined and scientific looking, but after working with the porcelain and running into a few snags I took a different approach and started making them more deformed and creepy looking. At first I wanted to keep them unglazed, but now that they are taking on a different look and tone I think I want to use an oxide wash or some sort of darker glaze that will go with the crudeness of their forms and bring out the abnormalities.
